Wentzville’s Connection Theatre Company

CAC members were involved in bringing theater to our community. Wentzville Parks and Recreation is thrilled to announce the development of Wentzville’s Connection Theatre Company (Wentzville’s CTC). Wentzville’s CTC is founded on the idea of connections and driven by the hope of connecting Wentzville’s residents to the world of theatre. Wentzville’s CTC will offer opportunities to connect through classes, camps and productions for all ages that teach and develop the valuable skills of performing arts. Be on the lookout for more exciting announcements from Wentzville’s CTC! #WeAreWentzville.

Watch for upcoming Theatre productions.

Wow! These kids did a great job. Very proud of everyone involved. Job well done by Mrs. Abigail!

Meet Georganna Krumlinde, the Costume Designer extraordinaire for our first Wentzville’s Connection Theatre Company production. Georganna, or ‘Gigi’ as she was affectionately called, helped to design and create some of the props and costumes by hand. Any costume pieces that were not made by hand, were pinned and lovingly stitched to fit each and every actor in the production. Such an impressive feat for a cast of more than 30!

Gigi hand-sketched each cast member’s costume concept and then went to work on making those drawings come to life. At the show, she had her sketches available for purchase. Each card depicted the name of the character alongside the sketch. And to make sure no fabric scrap went to waste, Gigi turned the trimmed fabric into mini hearts to honor each cast member!

Gigi, you are a true star. Thank you for sharing almost 100 volunteer hours with us and making sure we had the best-dressed cast! Your talents have amazed us all.

Gigi is also a member of our Arts and Programs Committee; a sub-committee of the Parks and Recreation Board dedicated to promoting art in Wentzville. We are currently looking for members. To apply, please visit www.wentzvillemo.gov/boardapplication and select “Arts and Programs Committee.”
