2015 – 2018   BEGINNING STAGE OF OUR COMMUNITY ART PROJECT:

Crossroads Arts Council has been busy at work planning a mural at Wentzville’s Splash Station Aquatic Park. Splash Station is one of Wentzville’s newest gems to the city. The facility opened in the summer of 2014, and since its opening date has had over 110,000 visits to utilize its amenities. The Crossroads Arts Council has selected this facility as one of our first projects to bring community art to the City. This facility will become even more enjoyable when the community comes together to create a 600+ square foot beautiful mosaic in the center of the facility. The Crossroads Arts Council doesn’t shy away from this large project; however, due to the size of the project, the mosaic will be done in several phases depending on the funding and the amount of community support we receive.

2018 – FINAL PHASE OF OUR COMMUNITY  ART PROJECT:

CAC member Heather Woodson was hired by the Wentzville Park District to continue adding to the mosaic. Heather created two more beautiful murals to add to Twig’s frog mural. The murals are connected by a lovely blue mosaic stream.  The mosaic continues to attract attention with Splash Station visitors young and old.
